Alightweight technical shirt constructed from chrono-carbon, rip-stop fabric for optimum thermal regulation when trekking in arid climates.
The Oryon Carbon Shirt is constructed from a next-generation, chrono-carbon, rip-stop fabric chosen specifically for expeditions in high temperatures. This smart fabric provides a high level of stretch capability whilst remaining hard-wearing but most significantly it is imbued with a carbon filament.
The use of carbon helps effectively aid moisture wicking and heat transfer during the day but will also usefully retain heat after dark as temperatures drop. The chrono-carbon, rip-stop fabric also offers a high ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) so not only will it protect you from the elements you can feel but it will keep you covered from those harmful UV rays you cant. Nature knows best and the Oryon Carbon Shirt, with its carbon technology, uses the best of nature to tackle changeable environments.
Fabric aside, the Carbon Shirt is fastened with double slot buttons, another traditional military design that offers greater durability than conventional buttons. Mesh-lined chest pockets provide storage capacity for expedition essentials and can also be used to vent excess body heat.
A concealed mesh panel back vent offers further temperature regulation without affecting the durability of the shirt, keeping you cooler for longer and able to focus on the task at hand. Underarm vents have been included to specifically target areas of high perspiration, minimising the associated wear and tear and resulting odour build-up. This high emphasis on breathability and ventilation is key for multi-day expeditions where access to effective washing facilities may not be possible.
For additional weatherproofing, the entire Shirt is then treated with a C6 Durable Water Repellent which will keep water beading for a short period if caught in a sudden shower. The DWR will limit perspiration penetrating the fabric, meaning the fabric stays dryer for longer, preventing the build-up of moisture and aiding a quick drying process.
Owing to the construction of the shirt it will also dry quickly if being used for kayaking or other pursuits on the water.
